Tom was full of surprises last week: first he requested London Eye tickets, and then he lobbied for theatre tickets, something especially British, perhaps Shakespeare. Alas, I couldn't take full advantage of this request, because all things Shakespeare that I'd like to see are sold out at the moment, and there was no time for queuing for day-of tickets.
So we read some reviews, bought two decent-and-relatively-cheap tickets for Three Days in May, and booked a table at Cork and Bottle.

We splurged on Gigondas wine. It seemed like the right thing to do, given that it will be nearly impossible to find at a reasonable cost when we're living a hour away from Napa and Sonoma.
And then we feasted on the vegetarian platter...
...before making our way through the December crowds to Trafalgar Studios. The production was a solid little play, and Warren Clarke was particularly strong as Winston Churchill.
Finally, it was back into the cold, up Saint Martin's Lane to Longacre...
