Last Sunday in London

So apparently, on our final day in London we started doing ridiculous things. Like taking pictures in front of tube signs. What was wrong with us?
Whatever it was that was wrong with it, it also made us want to go to Paddington Station to find Paddington Bear.
And the whole tube-sign-picture thing continued at Regent's Park.
We weren't headed to the park, though. Nope, we walked over to Marylebone High Street....where the signage continued.
And we stopped at Coco Momo for a coffee.
Exhibit A.
Fully caffeinated, we went down the high street to say goodbye to Daunt Books.
And we even swung by our favorite restaurant corner in all of London (more on that later).
We braved Oxford Street for about 30 seconds--just long enough to reach the Bond Street tube stop and hop on the Jubilee line down to Westminster.
We wandered up Whitehall, avoiding the crowd at Downing Street.
Here ends out European Lion Extravaganza...
...this is kinda where it all started.
Tom then absconded with the camera, dodging little kids to take a few photos from the base of Lord Nelson's column.
See?
We also did a little self-guided tour of the National Gallery and National Portrait Gallery.
And by the time we were back outside, the blue sky was nowhere to be seen. But we soldiered on up to the Strand, stopping at Somerset House briefly.
Hey, Royal Courts of Justice!
This griffin marks the border between Westminster and the City. I can't believe the Queen has to ask the Mayor's permission to enter the City.
We took a detour to the Inns of Court to see a church associated with the crusades.
It was almost quite tragic as the door we entered mysteriously locked, so we had to find another way out.
Back out on Fleet Street, we said hello to Elizabeth I.
And waved to Dr. Johnson.
And we finished up our little tour at Saint Paul's, hopping the Central line to get home.
